XV East European Summer School
Content: the collapse of communism; transformation of post-communistic world and last years events in such countries as Ukraine and Georgia. Language:Polish and English Participants: mainly participants from countries of the f. Soviet Union and Central Europe, moreover from Western Europe and North America Number of participants: 30 Course duration: 1 – 23 July 2005 Course intensity: 6h a day Assessment: presence at all classes, credit for seminars (on the basis of essay) Certificate: Diploma of the East European Summer School, University of Warsaw, Poland
Application deadline: 20 April 2005 Course fee: 700 euro (for participants from Western Europe); candidates from Eastern Europe are entitled to a fee waiver stipend Financial aid: Only candidates from the f. Soviet Union and Eastern Europe and partly also from Central Europe, who meet the School essential requirements, are eligible to apply for full or partial scholarships (depending on the specific country) to cover costs of accommodation, meals, lectures, materials and academic tours. Accommodation: student dormitory Other comments: 1 – 6 July XV East European School will take place in Warsaw; 7 – 10 July in Wroclaw; 20 – 22 July participants will take part in Warsaw East European Conference, 2nd annual session; 24 –28 July Fourth Reunion of Graduates of East European Summer School will take place in Kaunas
